Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a motivated high school student to contribute to mentoring and support programs over a school year, with supervision from a program specialist.

You will help fulfill program initiatives, create safe and engaging environments for students, and collaborate on educational materials while learning DPS’s educational philosophy and equity goals in a Colorado-based setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a current DPS high school student.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
• Ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.

Responsibilities

• Engages in responsibilities to implement high quality resources and programming
• Maintains open communication with colleagues and program specialists
• Collaborates with colleagues to prepare educational materials, which may include classroom material, district-wide resources and social media content
• Develops an understanding of the education philosophy of Denver Public Schools and the goals to engage and inspire teacher participation, youth and community engagement
• Other projects, as assigned
