Job summary

Fort Lewis College is seeking a part-time, exempt Coordinator to educate, train, and support student leaders within the Environmental Center. The role covers office management, program development, and coordination of sustainability initiatives across campus.

The Coordinator will work with staff and students to advance engagement and learning outcomes, support events, and help maintain EC operations, reporting, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, educational, sustainability, or related field.
• 2 or more years’ experience with student development and education.
• Experience with project/program coordination/management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental and social sustainability issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EC Professional Staff and stakeholders to identify, develop, and manage projects and programs that meet student engagement goals and learning outcomes.
• Recruit, train, educate, support, and retain student leaders to participate in EC’s efforts.
• Assist in managing Environmental Center operations and programs (recycling, e-bike loan, Tree Campus, etc.).
• Manage EC communications and student employment processes; assist in assessment and reporting.
