The Davenport Community School District is seeking a Juvenile Court Liaison to work with schools and Juvenile Court Services to support at-risk students and improve attendance and behavior. This role involves in-home visits, coordination with agencies, and direct supervision as needed, within a team focused on student success.

• Must be at least 21.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students.
• Knowledge of Juvenile Court Law, procedures and processes.
• Knowledge of Davenport Community School District procedures and policies related to truancy.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis effectively.
• Ability to communicate with others – through written work and orally.
• Bachelor's degree in counseling, criminal justice, sociology or related social sciences.
• Must agree to criminal and child abuse record checks.
• Must possess a valid Iowa motor vehicle operator's license.
• Must have experience with restorative practices or willing to be trained.

Mansioni

• Under supervision of the principal and Juvenile Court Officer IV, perform duties as a juvenile court liaison for the Davenport Community School District.
• Assist on truancy and attendance issues, including in-home visits and referrals.
• Support supervision and counseling of juveniles; coordinate with agencies to assist families.
• Monitor educational progress and ensure compliance with court orders and dispositions.
• Provide home and community visits as needed to support attendance and behavior goals.
• Perform special programming during summer months as assigned.
• Work as part of a team focused on improving student performance.
