Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Pass WV Service Personnel Tests: Aide.
• Criminal Background check required per WV Code 18-5-15C.
• Complete Special Needs Student Transportation Training and Requirements per WVDE Transportation Policy 4336

Responsibilities

• Supervise student(s) as assigned on the bus.
• Assist the teacher in supervision of children in the classroom and in various locations (instructional areas, cafeteria, bus, drills, playground).
• Maintain confidentiality of students and their families; direct inquiries through the classroom teacher.
• Supervise students in presence or absence of teacher and provide training as instructed by the teacher.
• Maintain data pertinent to individual progress and prepare instructional materials as directed.
• Follow behavior management approaches and handle disruptive behavior.
• Be available for all Emergency School Closings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Classroom Teacher, Principal, or Assistant Principal.
