Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a School-Based Miscellaneous employee to provide supplemental student supervision before, during and after the school day. This role may also support other areas of school operations, including tutoring, backup phone and reception, social media, and data entry, as needed.

The position involves supervising students in hallways and during lunch, assisting with parent outreach, and helping with various duties to maintain a safe, orderly school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or public service environments preferred.
• Experience supervising children in organized settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide student supervision and coverage before, during and after the school day.
• Assist with parent outreach and support.
• Support overall school operations (tutoring, reception, data entry, filing, recruitment).
• Other duties as assigned.
