Job summary

Austintown Local Schools seeks a Paraprofessional – Lunch and Recess Monitor at Austintown Elementary School in Austintown, Ohio. The role supports students during lunch and recess and enforces classroom rules to maintain a safe environment.

This is a 9‑month, 5.75‑hour-per-day position, 9:45 am–3:30 pm, with starting pay of $15.73 per hour and annual step increases per the OAPSE agreement. Internal transfer bids are due by 2:00 pm on 10/5/2026; external applications will be accepted if needed.

Qualifications

• Current favorable BCII and FBI background checks.
• Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement.
• Rapback Enrollment through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
• Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Reporting and Training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student(s) individually or in groups in various school settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and enforce pupil behavior as directed.
• Provide safe, secure supervision during lunch and recess.
• Crossing Guard duties when required.
• Operate office equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
