Job summary

The Menta Education Group in Marion, IL, is seeking a paraprofessional for the 26/27 school year at Menta Academy Marion. Hours are 7:30am-3:00pm CT, Monday–Friday, following a school calendar.

The role supports students PK–12 with individualized education plans in self-contained classrooms. The candidate will monitor students, adapt materials, document concerns, and collaborate with licensed staff to implement behavior programs and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Certification is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate tactfully under stress.
• Flexibility to change in routines.
• At least 23 years of age.
• Able to work with high-risk special needs students.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned student addressing academic, functional, behavioral, or safety concerns per IEP under supervision.
• Prepare and adapt classroom materials; maintain rooms and materials in good order.
• Inform clinical staff of social, emotional, or behavioral concerns of students.
• Implement and maintain behavior program policies and data.
• Coordinate with administration and staff to ensure consistent academic and therapeutic program.
• Fill in as needed and as requested throughout the program.
• Be aware of other students to ensure program consistency.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and student records.
• Attend all staff meetings and in-service training as requested.
• Report any unusual incidents or safety concerns to the administration.
• Support and promote administrative policies and goals.
