Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor and report student progress.
• Prepare and organize lessons as directed by the teacher.
• Administer and score tests according to guidelines.
• Assist in determining English proficiency of identified students.
• Monitor and report behavior of students per approved procedures.
• Maintain classroom records and attendance.
• Provide support to the teacher by setting up work areas and distributing supplies.
• Supervise students in labs and oversee supplies inventory.
• Confer with teachers concerning programs to meet student needs.
• Contact parents of absent students and make home visits as necessary.
• Ensure health and safety of students following practices and regulations.
• Direct group activities and assist in lunchroom/playground supervision.
• Participate in meetings and training programs.
