Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior experience required for this role.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Completion of criminal history checks and background screening requirements.
• CPR and First Aid training within the probationary period.
• Florida Child Care Professional Credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Presents subject matter to students under the direction of teachers using lectures, discussions, and supervised role-playing.
• Assists in implementing individual education programs (IEPs) and helps monitor student progress.
• Supports students with emotional or behavioral problems and helps them develop social skills.
• Supports teachers in photocopying and maintaining student records.
• Works with the teacher to plan and implement a program of instruction aligned with school goals and objectives.
• Assists in creating lesson plans and employing diverse teaching strategies to maximize time on task.
• Shares responsibility for supervision of students during the school day in all areas of the school.
• Adheres to university and unit-level policies and safeguards.
