Job summary

Southwest Allen County Schools is seeking an in-school suspension supervisor to guide and assist students, coordinate with teachers, collect assignments, and monitor student activities. The role includes proctoring final exams for students unable to test in regular classes and providing clerical support to staff.

The 9-month position works 7 hours per day with a half-hour unpaid lunch, and offers medical coverage. Pay ranges from $13.58 to $20.24 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of study (60 hours) at an institution of higher education or obtained an associate's degree or met a rigorous standard with ability to assist in instruction.
• Effective communication skills and ability to take direction.
• Clerical skills, flexibility and confidentiality required. Prior classroom assistant experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist students placed in in-school suspension as per policy.
• Communicate with teachers, gather assignments, and assist students with work.
• Keep Discipline Office apprised of student concerns.
• Proctor final exams for students unable to test in classrooms.
• Assist office and staff with clerical tasks when time permits.
