Fort Wayne Community Schools is seeking an In-School Suspension School Assistant to monitor students assigned to the program, observing behavior, homework and attendance within the regular school day. Shifts run during the school year, typically from 7:15am to 3:30pm, with exact times varying by site.

This role requires a high school diploma, experience with students in organized settings, strong computer skills, and solid oral and written communication.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and experience working with students in an organized setting.
• Strong office computer and oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of child guidance principles and practices and basic subjects taught in District schools including arithmetic grammar spelling language and reading.

• Monitor students assigned to the In-School Suspension program by observing student behavior, homework and attendance.
