Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) in the Chester, PA area seeks a Direct Student Support professional to collaborate with teachers, delivering individualized services to small groups and monitoring progress.

You will monitor student behavior, communicate with families, and reinforce learning through SESI's PBIS framework CASE, supporting social-emotional development and school success. This on-site role offers training, tuition reimbursement, and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students through daily check-ins and one-on-one meetings.
• Serve as a go-to adult for students navigating academic, social, or personal challenges, providing guidance and a safe space to be heard.
• Engage students in hallways, common areas, classrooms, and transitions to foster belonging and connection to school.
• Identify disengaged or at-risk students and initiate supportive conversations and interventions.
• Facilitate small group discussions and goal-setting circles focusing on social-emotional development and school success.
• Monitor behavior data and collaborate on individualized behavior support plans.
