Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Formal academic courses/training in child development with applications to special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in school or worksite settings throughout the day.
• Assist students with social behavior, self-care, and basic needs.
• Support instructional tasks in one‑on‑one or small groups as directed by staff.
• Observe and manage student behavior in classrooms and common areas.
• Collect data on student performance and progress for staff review.
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavior needs.
• Follow AACPS policies during activities and off-site work.
• Participate in professional development and trainings.
• Perform other related duties within the same classification.
