Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking Temporary Support Assistants to help teachers meet the physical, emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs of students from Preschool through secondary levels.

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with self-care tasks, and collecting data under guidance of licensed staff. Mobility and off-site supervision may be required in various locations within the county.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Formal academic courses/training in the field of child development with specific applications to the area of special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students throughout the school day in classrooms and worksites.
• Assist with social, emotional, and behavioral goals under supervision.
• Support instruction in small groups or one-on-one as directed by teachers.
