Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking Temporary Support Assistants to help teachers meet the physical, emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs of students across Preschool/PreK to secondary levels. TSA staff provide supervision during the school day, assist with self-care tasks, and support instructional activities as directed by job coaches and teachers.

These positions involve data collection on student performance, behavioral goals, and adherence to AACPS policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency is required.
• Formal coursework in child development is preferred.
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students throughout the day in school and worksite locations.
• Assist with social, emotional, and behavioral supports for students.
• Support instructional tasks in one-on-one or small-group settings.
• Observe and collect data on student performance and progress.
• Follow school policies and procedures in all activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors.
