Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help students develop and observe proper rules and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable behavior.
• Organize students into orderly groups to assist them in their assigned areas.
• Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction of disciplinary rules by students.
• Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment such as computers, audiovisual equipment, and related technology.
• Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and records, and student behavior.
• Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch, playground, classroom, or wherever assigned including drills and assemblies.
• Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and students with various illnesses.
• Interact with a diverse student population.
• Handle interactions among unruly children.
• Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed.
