Job summary

Aimcareers is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals to support students in Oak Forest, Illinois, and surrounding areas. You will assist teachers, reinforce learning concepts, and help students reach their academic and social potential in a dynamic classroom setting.

The role emphasizes patience, dependability, and a passion for working with children with diverse learning needs. You will contribute to maintaining a positive, structured environment and support daily routines such as lunch and recess.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with school staff.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus.
• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (associates or higher preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the lead teacher.
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and instructional activities.
• Support students with behavioral management and social development.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision (e.g., lunch, recess).
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with staff
