Job summary

Aimcareers is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals to support students in a dynamic educational setting. You will assist teachers and help students reach their full potential academically and socially in a caring, collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates are patient, dependable, and passionate about working with children of diverse learning needs. Locations include St. Charles area and surrounding schools, with weekly compensation and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with school staff.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the lead teacher.
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and instructional activities.
• Support students with behavioral management and social development.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision (e.g., lunch, recess).
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with staff.
