Job summary

Chaminade University of Honolulu in Hawaii seeks a Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator to lead the daily operations of tutoring and coaching, recruit and supervise tutors and coaches, and ensure accessible, student-centered services across in-person and online delivery.

Reporting to the Career Pathway and Success Coach, the coordinator will manage Reservio and Tutor.com platforms, coordinate scheduling, develop training, and collaborate with campus partners to support at-promise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Canva; Google Docs/Sheets/Slides; and Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to equity-minded, inclusive, and student-centered services.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified tutors and academic coaches across all schools.
• Facilitate structured onboarding and lead semesterly training on tutoring and academic coaching best practices, inclusive learning strategies, session planning, and effective communication/collaboration.
• Provide consistent professional development through staff-led workshops and individualized coaching.
• Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with tutors and academic coaches to review progress and goals.
• Reinforce a standardized session structure with clear next steps to promote student clarity and confidence.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of tutoring and academic coaching services for in-person and online delivery.
• Manage appointment scheduling using Reservio and Google Calendar.
• Coordinate online sessions using Google Meet and ensure access via official university email accounts.
• Maintain an inclusive center environment by organizing shared spaces and managing supplies.
• Review post-session survey feedback to inform development plans for tutors and coaches.
• Compile weekly usage data from Reservio and Tutor.com and enter into master spreadsheets for analytics.
• Share usage and trend reports with leadership to inform recruitment and training priorities.
