Del Mar College is seeking a part-time Tutor for the Student Success Center Pool in Corpus Christi. The tutor guides students toward independent learning, helping them master concepts and apply them in coursework, while promoting effective study strategies.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to relate to students at different levels, and a commitment to helping students succeed through tutoring sessions and collaborative activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0 with an A or B average in course(s) tutored.
• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in targeted subject areas via individual and group tutoring and/or online tutoring.
• Host workshops on selected topics including on-line.
• Model and encourage collaborative study strategies.
• Create and manage resources.
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment.
• Meet regularly with supervisor including on-line.
• Host TSI Bootcamps/Workshops.
• Tutor students in TSI subject matter in both small and large group formats.
