Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a part-time Lab Tutor in Mathematics for the Math Learning Center. You will tutor students, enhance their mathematics knowledge, and help them develop independent problem-solving skills across a variety of math courses.

Candidates must have completed at least 12 college credit hours with a B average in math, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Canvas or MyMathLab.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours.
• At least a B average for all math courses.

Responsibilities

• Help and guide students with math-related problems.
• Conduct individual and small group tutorials.
• Greet and assist students with signing in.
• Manage and create resources.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Maintain an organized and neat facility.
• Participate in on-going training.
• Market the Math Learning Center.
• Other duties/tasks as assigned.
