Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking motivated Instructional Assistants to support learning within The College of Theology. This face-to-face, part-time role on GCU’s Main Campus in Phoenix involves tutoring, classroom facilitation, and academic support to help students succeed.

You will partner with faculty, help with lesson preparation, grading, and proctoring examinations, and offer weekly tutoring hours to reinforce concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must reside in Arizona and be available to work in person on GCU’s Main Campus.
• Experience in tutoring or instructional support preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom support skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation.
• Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support.
• Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance.
• Observe and report student progress to faculty.
