Job summary

University of Georgia Libraries seeks a Student Success Librarian to join the Miller Learning Center team and support student success through hands-on learning, instruction, and outreach.

The successful candidate will work with First Year Odyssey and First-Year Writing seminars, develop digital instructional assets, and lead in a specific functional area within the Creative Engagement Wing. This is an in-person, 12-month academic-year position with potential start as early as February 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver targeted library instruction and outreach for First-Year Odyssey, First-Year Writing, and other courses supporting student success.
• Provide reference assistance to library users via virtual chat services on a weekly basis.
• Supervise and mentor student workers in accordance with operational needs and staffing schedules.
• Participate in year-round outreach programming, focusing on key academic calendar periods.
• Proactively identify ideas for new outreach or collaborations and make recommendations for programming.

Education

ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Science
