Compass Group USA's Chartwells Higher Ed division at the University of Texas - Arlington is seeking a Student Success Intern. This paid internship supports hospitality operations, catering, and business activities while balancing class schedules.

You’ll rotate across departments, learn food safety protocols, assist in events, and gain hands-on experience in marketing and operations. Enrolled in a related program with strong communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn hospitality operations and food safety protocols.
• Assist in catering, events, and client interactions; learn CaterTrax.
• Shadow FOH/BOH managers and support scheduling.
• Support marketing and promotions activities.

• Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour.

About the Program

Join our rotational program designed to provide hands-on experience in both hospitalityand business operations.Over the course of the term, you’ll work alongside experienced mentors in culinary services, catering, marketing, and operations—building the skills to launch your career in hospitality or business management.

Key Responsibilities

• Hospitality Operations - Learn food safety protocols, train across multiple food service stations, assist in menu planning, and cost control.
• Catering & Events - Support setup, menu planning, ordering, and client interaction; participate in Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings; learn CaterTrax software.
• Operations Management - Shadow FOH and BOH managers, lead pre-service meetings, review operational standards, assist with scheduling and labor reporting.
• Marketing & Promotions - Conduct marketing audits, plan and promote events, manage social media content, support meal plan marketing.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
