Job summary

The College of Business at OSU Oregon State University invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure track instructors to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities include instruction, curriculum development, and mentoring students within the Student Success program, with emphasis on inclusive teaching and supporting academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Education, College Student Services and Administration, or closely related field.
• Experience with supporting students in personal, professional and academic pursuits in higher education.
• Commitment to educational equity and advancing diverse perspectives.
• Teaching experience at high school or university level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong MS Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to use Outlook.
• Ability to learn OSU systems and processes.
• Prepared to complete a criminal history check as required.
• Experience in retaining first-year students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Student Success courses using inclusive, student-centered instructional practices.
• Develop course materials, curriculum, assessments, and activities for Student Success programs.
• Plan and implement student success initiatives including orientation and experiential learning.
• Provide mentoring and holistic support to students in an inclusive environment.
• Participate in service activities advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
