Job summary

East Wake Academy is seeking a School Counselor to support students in individual and group sessions, while advising families and teachers. The role includes preparing transcripts, writing recommendations, and assisting with testing programs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in school counseling (or equivalent) and complete a school counseling internship, contributing to a safe and challenging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in school counseling from an accredited college or university, or Bachelor’s degree in equivalent field with add-on school counseling licensure.
• Completion of school counseling internship.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students individually and/or in groups.
• Advises and provides information to parents/guardians and teachers.
• Prepares student transcripts for schools and employers.
• Writes recommendations for colleges, scholarships and military service.
• Assists the Principal in coordinating and administering the testing program.
