Eckerd Connects in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an ACT/OTP Counselor to support students with personal and career development, monitor progress, and coordinate with training sites and community services. The role emphasizes helping students transition from school to work and requires a bachelor’s degree with social science coursework, plus a valid driver’s license and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours of Social Sciences or related area.
• One-year experience in a counseling capacity or related field.
• Valid State driver’s license preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen in accordance with policy.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students in all aspects of center life, including personal and social development, vocational and educational training.
• Monitor students’ progress, performance, and attendance for off-center trades.
• Obtain Training Achievement Records and Progress Reports from off-center sites.
• Assess and support students in continuing education or additional training and connect with community services.
• Assist students in setting goals and addressing career challenges.
• Submit reports to outside agencies and coordinate with Mental Health Consultants and center leadership.
• Monitor classes weekly and collaborate with instructors, counselors, and administrators.
