Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is seeking a School Counselor to promote student success through a comprehensive counseling program addressing academic, career, and social-emotional development at Phillips Middle School.

You will lead data-driven planning, collaborate with teachers and families, and provide direct counseling services and referrals, in alignment with NC standards and the district's 11-month schedule.

Qualifications

• NC Educator License in School Counseling required.
• Master’s degree in school counseling or equivalent with licensure.
• Completion of school counseling internship.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Provides direct counseling services through the Guidance Curriculum, Individual Student Planning, and Preventive/Responsive Services.
• Collaborates with students, parents, teachers, and community resources to meet student needs.
• Interprets test results and student data to guide educational placement and program planning.
• Ensures compliance with ethical standards and district policies.
