Job summary

The Computer Systems Institute is seeking a Student Affairs Advisor to provide customer service to all students on campus and support academics and events. You will report to the VP of Student Affairs and Career Development and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities include monitoring attendance, managing records, guiding F-1 status and work authorization, scheduling with deans and DSOs, and assisting with student events, FERPA compliance, and campus operations.

Qualifications

• BA degree required.
• Minimum of two years full-time work experience.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with students, staff, faculty and the public.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to abide by FERPA regulations regarding student information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students’ attendance and academic progress.
• File and maintain student academic records and paperwork.
• Guide continuing students on F-1 status and work authorization.
• Schedule and update appointments for Academic Dean, Admissions Office & DSOs.
• Make outbound calls to remind students of deadlines and policies.
• Provide documentation such as employment authorizations and letters.
• Assist with immigration-related advising under federal regulations.
• Provide campus open/close duties and maintain reception area appearance.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
