Vincennes University (VU) invites applications for a part-time Coach Mentor to support the Blazers Achieve Student Support Services program. The role coaches, mentors, and facilitates executive function strategies to aid student success and program operations.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, maintaining data records, coordinating services with campus departments, and offering evening workshops.

Formación

Associate’s degree in education, social work, business, technology, or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
At least one year of work experience providing educational/coaching/mentoring services to underrepresented populations.
Ability to foster a safe, positive learning environment for students.

Responsabilidades

Coaches and mentors students to enhance academic success and maintains accurate student services.
Records student services in the database.
Recruits and conducts intake procedures at Trailblazer Kickoff and PreVUs (some on Saturday).
Manages record-keeping, database management, purchasing, inventory, and uses standard office equipment.
Facilitates transitioning strategies from high school to postsecondary setting.
Coordinates services with community agencies and campus departments.
Collaborates as part of a team and participates in professional development.
Provides occasional evening workshops, field trips, and business dinners; offers scheduled office hours.
