Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking an Academic Success Coach I to provide undergraduate academic advising, course planning to timely graduation, and proactive coaching for student success.

The role builds relationships, offers referrals, and advocates for students within the Academic and Career Experience Center. Requires a bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide undergraduate academic advising and course planning to support timely graduation.
• Build relationships with students and refer to campus resources as needed.
• Advise on course selection, registration, and degree planning.
• Monitor student progress and intervene when needed to support retention.
