Job summary

John Wood Community College (JWCC) is seeking a dedicated Academic Advisor/Success Coach to join our student services team at the Quincy campus. The ideal candidate will provide academic advising, career guidance, and holistic support to students, empowering them to develop and achieve their educational, transfer and personal goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with diverse student populations preferred.
• Knowledge of advising practices and transfer processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic advising for course selection and degree planning.
• Guide students in setting academic, career, and personal goals and develop action plans.
• Monitor progress and provide proactive support to improve retention and degree completion.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success.
