California State University, Northridge (CSUN) seeks a tenure-track Senior Assistant Librarian in the Department of Research, Instruction, & Outreach Services to support student success and information literacy across courses in English.

The librarian will provide instruction, develop online guides, offer reference consultations, collaborate with faculty, participate in collection development, and engage in professional scholarship to help all students achieve equitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in information and/or library science from an ALA-accredited school.
• Experience providing reference assistance (virtual, in-person, and/or research consultations).
• Teaching experience providing information literacy library instruction.
• Ability to apply culturally responsive pedagogies for equitable outcomes.
• Effective written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to research and professional development leading to tenure.

Responsabilités

• Provide general and discipline-specific library instruction and reference services.
• Develop discipline-specific online guides and digital learning objects for student research needs.
• Conduct outreach to faculty and student organizations; participate in collection development for English.
• Support faculty research and scholarly communications; serve on committees and initiatives.
• Teach and provide reference services on evenings, weekends, or online as needed.
