The librarian will partner with faculty to foster information literacy, equity, and inclusive teaching through collaboration with campus resources and initiatives, including RIOS and Learning Resource

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information and/or library science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience providing reference assistance (virtual, in-person, or consultations).
• Teaching experience in information literacy or in writing-intensive courses.
• Ability to apply culturally responsive pedagogy for equitable outcomes.
• Strong written, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to research and professional development for tenure.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and discipline-specific library and information literacy instruction.
• Develop discipline-specific online research guides or DLOs to support student research needs.
• Provide reference assistance and research consultations in-person and virtually.
• Conduct outreach to faculty and student organizations.
• Participate in collection development for the English department.
• Support faculty research and scholarly communications.
• Serve on library, campus, regional, and national initiatives or committees.
