Suffolk Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Students to assist the principal in maintaining a disciplined and safe school environment across elementary, middle, and high school levels in Suffolk, VA. The role involves communicating with parents about behavior, reviewing referrals, and implementing the district discipline plan.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of teaching experience; a master’s degree and administrative endorsement are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and three years of teaching experience required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred; administrative endorsement preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists the principal in disciplining students and maintaining school safety.
• Contacts parents regarding discipline matters and reviews referrals from staff.
• Supports implementation of the school discipline plan and safety programs.
• Assists administrators, teachers and bus staff to ensure safe transportation and operations.
• Performs related tasks as required.
