Job summary

The Washoe County School District seeks a Dean of Students to lead student discipline, attendance, and behavior programs, under the supervision of the Principal. You will collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and the community to promote a safe, respectful learning environment.

The role includes participating in site leadership, monitoring student progress, equity, social-emotional learning, and MTSS support, with a focus on academic achievement and positive school climate.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in administration, education, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of certified teaching experience, education administration, or K-12 leadership.
• School Administrators License required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student discipline, attendance, and behavior programs.
• Lead school-wide initiatives to promote equity, social-emotional learning, and academic achievement.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Monitor student progress and supervise staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
