Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking a Business Analyst for Academic Affairs-Student Success at the Detroit campus. You will support student success initiatives, analytics, and cross-functional projects across IT, institutional research and enterprise systems.

The role requires 3–4 years of experience with strong communication and stakeholder management. A bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field is required. This is a full-time position at a major urban research university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, information technology or related field.
• 3–4 years of job-related experience.
• 1–3 years as an application administrator or business analyst.
• Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients at all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate current business processes, workflows, reports, and tools; suggest improvements.
• Serve as functional SME and admin of student success technologies; perform configuration tasks.
• Gather, document and trace business requirements; write clear procedures.
• Coordinate design, testing and deployment of system enhancements and integrations with Ellucian Banner.
• Create ad-hoc reports, queries and dashboards to support business needs.
• Manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
• Act as liaison between Office of Student Success, DSOE, and software vendors.
• Develop training materials to support end-user training.
• Other duties as assigned.
