Moberly Area Community College is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide foundational academic advising to students on degree requirements, course selection, and college policies. The role orients students to admissions, testing, registration, and available resources, while collaborating with retention teams to monitor progress.

The position is full-time, exempt, and covered by the Public School Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in higher education and academic advising preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising on degree requirements, course selection, and policies.
• Monitor student progress and connect at-risk students with resources.
• Conduct degree audits and assist with graduation processes.
• Support admissions, placement testing, registration, and use of resources.
• Develop academic plans and document advising sessions.
