Job summary

Lied Center of Kansas is seeking student hourly crew to assist with setup/tear-down for events, operate lights, audio, cameras, and video projections, and provide stage and production support under supervision of full-time staff. The role includes equipment maintenance and working with a large technical crew.

Applicants must have a flexible schedule, adhere to online scheduling, and be able to communicate clearly by email. Summer and weekday blocks available; remote work not offered.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to an online-based scheduling system.
• Must communicate clearly via email with timely responses.
• Must maintain a flexible schedule as evidenced by application materials.
• Two two-hour blocks of time are available during weekdays, excluding 12:00–13:00.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and tear-down of events, including lights, curtains, arbors, shells and large ensembles.
• Operate technical systems during events: lighting consoles, audio, cameras, and video projections.
• Provide stage and production support alongside professional staff to ensure successful performances and events.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment: replace lamps, fix cables, and upkeep technical systems.
• Work with a 50+ member crew, meet deadlines, participate in training and support general production tasks.
