Job summary

The Lied Center of Kansas seeks individuals to join the Technical Stagehand Crew. You will assist with setup, operation, and tear-down of events, supporting lighting, audio, video, and stage equipment across performances.

This is a 100% on-site, non-student supplemental role with flexible hours aligned to production schedules; prior theatre experience is preferred and supervisory skills are a plus. Training provided by full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or theatre (wardrobe, lighting, audio, video, and/or fly systems).
• Supervisory experience in technical theatre is a plus.
• Familiarity with multiple technical theatre systems (fly rail, audio, video, lighting, rough carpentry).
• Wardrobe experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up, running and tear-down of Lied Center events.
• Hang and focus lights, change lamps, repair cables, run lighting consoles.
• Move curtains, load and unload counterweight arbors, set-up acoustical shell and large ensembles.
• Set up and run audio systems, set up and run cameras, run video projections.
• Clean up production areas and help maintain equipment under supervision.
