GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the SSA - Student Affairs department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Thisposition will focus on the recruitment, orientation, and case-management ofstudent participants in the ASPIRE Scholars Initiative. The ASPIRESuccess Navigator works to ensure that students in the program achievesatisfactory academic success each semester, maintain good academic standing,and persist from term to term, achieving the academic credits aligned withprogram requirements for graduation, certification, and/or successful transferto a four-year college or university.
The Success Navigatorassesses participants’ academic and career goals, reviews and confirms keysuccess behaviors including regularly accessing Blackboard, AcademicAdvisement, Tutoring, Financial Aid, Early Registration, and more. UtilizesCivitas-Inspire to monitor students’ persistence predictions and academicperformance, developing appropriate intervention strategies to solve problemsas needed.
The Success Navigator worksin partnership with Campus Life and other GTC offices to design and deliverprogram activities, producing a positive expansion of the student experience atGTC. Furthers this expansion by connecting participants with institution andcommunity resources as needed; Coordinates workshops and guest speakers; FAFSADay, cultural activities, mentoring and Recognition events; Serves inattendance to students on college tours and other travel as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of experience in Student Services field. Prefer Masters degree in Student Services, Education, Counseling, Student Personnel Services, or related field and three years related experience—particularly experience in leading, motivating, and assisting individuals who may be low-income, first-generation college students, and/or have a learning disability. Preference will be given to individuals who have participated in similar programs. Experience with any of the following: Civitas Learning, Inspire, Colleague, and Blumen will be a plus.
