Job summary

Windham Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a Paraprofessional at Grafton Elementary School. The role supports students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development under certified staff guidance within a school setting. Starting date is to be determined.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, supervising students, data collection for IEP reporting, and implementing student support plans in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Having 48 college credits or passing Praxis ParaPro or meeting Title I requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to students and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience with school-aged children and disabilities preferred.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and basic data tracking.
• Able to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
• Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Support students’ social-emotional growth and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other staff.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and PD.
• Supervise students throughout the day, including transitions and meals.
• Follow district policies and protect confidentiality.
• Support instruction and student participation as needed.
