Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking a Student Services Consultant based in Tallahassee, FL. The role collaborates with School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, and Medicaid to promote integrated student supports and evidence-based practices in Florida schools.

The position is grant-funded and requires leadership in implementing school mental health services within MTSS. Collaboration with district personnel and state agencies is key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities.
• Two years of professional experience.
• Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
• Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance, support, training, and technical assistance to Florida school district personnel focused on implementation of effective instruction and intervention processes and practices.
• Develops and disseminates technical guidance and professional development materials; organizes regional trainings and technical assistance sessions to school and district personnel; provides technical assistance on implementation of integrated student services practices.
• Promotes best practices in the professional delivery of school-based services, including an integrated student services model within MTSS.
• Collaborates with other state consultants to develop training, technical assistance, and products designed to promote an integrated approach to research-based practices for student services personnel in Florida.
• Serves as liaison and provides technical assistance to the FDOE and other agencies; advises on role of student services in Florida districts; facilitates linkages between districts and services.
