The Yale Law School Registrar’s Office is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of academic records; supporting academic scheduling, course offerings, registration, and examinations; monitoring student academic progress and compliance with graduation requirements and academic policies; ensuring adherence to American Bar Association standards and applicable federal regulations; and providing accurate, responsive support to students, faculty, alumni, and other university stakeholders.
Reporting to the Law School Registrar, the Student Services Coordinator maintains student records, supports examination administration and registration processes, prepares communications, provides customer service, and helps ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of student data and efficient office operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, alumni, and various university departments. The role demands a focus on accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all records and systems.
The Student Services Coordinator will create and maintain student records, process student status changes, ensuring timely updates and accurate records and conduct regular quality assurance checks and audits of student records to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with institutional policies. This position will support the administration of examinations, proctoring exams, distributing examination materials, printing and/or collating electronic copies of student exam answers, and disseminating examination materials to faculty and faculty assistants while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with institutional guidelines and FERPA regulations.
The Student Services Coordinator will perform general customer service, triage and provide responses, ensuring that all inquiries are answered or directed to the appropriate department or individual. Additional responsibilities include running reports to self-monitor accuracy, supporting the testing of new processes and systems, participating in process improvement, maintaining process documentation, and other duties to support the YLS Registrar’s Office day-to-day operations and projects. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
