Job summary

Edconic Pre-College programs in New York seek a Student Services Representative to support students and parents and ensure smooth information flow among program staff.

The SSR greets students, handles inquiries, conducts attendance checks, and coordinates communications with guardians. Flexible shifts include some evenings/weekends; housing is not provided. This in-person role supports Residential and Student Life and reports to the Residential Hall staff.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year work experience (summer camp, boarding school, college campus, etc.).
• Previous customer service-related experience preferred.
• Previous experience with youth, whether at summer camps or other residential programs on the administrative supportive level.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, communication platforms with or similar to Orah, Pronto.
• Three references are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome students and provide parents and students with accurate information regarding classes, locations and events on campus.
• Answer phone and email inquiries with the highest professional standards.
• Perform daily attendance checks.
• Email parent & guardians regarding unaccounted day students who are missing from class.
• If missing student is residential, student must be located.
• Check dorm room, check classroom, contact roommate, call mobile phone.
• After 30 - 45, parent/guardian must be informed.
• Run Missing Student Report for Missing Student Protocol in a prompt and efficient manner, looping in the appropriate staff members when necessary.
• Pastoral notes creation in Orah on student profiles.
• Attend weekly WD staff meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
