Job Summary:
The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall success of students throughout their programs at IntelliTec. This includes the discovery of and compliant resolution of any and all problems with current or potential students that could negatively impact student’s academic experience. This position will be responsible for tracking and resolving issues that may cause poor attendance, program withdrawal, or dissatisfaction; resulting in increased retention.
- Collaborate with the Director of Education (DOE), Program Supervisors, and Instructors to increase student retention by monitoring student attendance, daily contact, and grades
- Collaborate with Program Supervisors and the DOE to ensure proper contact is being made
- Ensure student support plans are written, distributed, and noted in the student database
- Discover and resolve issues preventing students from achieving their academic goals while maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies and internal policies
- Advise students who are facing academic challenges or personal obstacles to assist them in resolving their issues
- Maintain an up-to-date reference list of community resources to address common student needs
- Identify students who are at-risk for academic failure and implement strategies to promote student success, utilizing the highest levels of customer service within expected time frames
- Maintain direct contact with assigned students, including monitoring attendance and academic progress ensuring students have access to necessary resources for academic and personal needs, and helping develop student support plans as needed
- Review and track leaves of absence daily each term to assist in retention
- Prepare leave of absence paperwork as needed
- Assist DOE in reviewing student surveys at the end of each six-week term and work with Program Supervisors to analyze and resolve any recognized problems
- Participate in all academic IAIP and Default Management meetings
- Assist DOE in ensuring Program Advisory Committee meetings are held in compliance with ACCSC standards
- Attend, and assist in organizing, orientations every six-weeks
- Collaborate with campus leadership to achieve enrollment, attendance, and retention
- Proactively contact students to ensure overall satisfaction with all aspects of the enrollment and early educational process as well as throughout their program
- Meet with all new students (in person or virtually) during the first two weeks of their program to advise and/or recommend resources to help ensure their success in the program
- Seek and implement resolutions to issues and evaluate common trends
- Recommend long-term solutions for frequently occurring student problems
- Work with DOE to help identify withdrawn students for reenrollment
- Mange both NTHS and Student Ambassador programs for maximum success and participation
- Manage student support programs such as Bus Pass, Gas Card, Lending Closet, Food Pantry, etc. to support student involvement and success
Secondary Duties:
- Assist the DOE in conducting classroom observations
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
This position requires light work, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds while frequently lifting up to 10 pounds. Administrative work requires sitting for long periods of time and consistent use of a computer. Position is required to express complex topics through speech and written communication. The worker may be occasionally exposed to adverse environmental conditions and chemical odors travelling to campus locations. This position may require driving to satellite campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Leadership, or a related field preferred; education and experience may be substituted for degree
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Education, Student Services, or a related field

40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm and 2 days a week 10 am - 7 pm
