Position Summary:

TheStudent Success & Hybrid Programs Specialistserves as a key member of the campus student services and academic support team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the success, retention, engagement, and persistence of students enrolled in hybrid programs while also coordinating campus student success and restart initiatives.TheStudent Success & Hybrid Programs Specialistcontributes to the achievement of campus retention, persistence, and restart goals through proactive student outreach, intervention, support, and follow-upactivities.

TheSpecialistbuilds strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, and institutional partners toidentifybarriers to student success, provide proactive support, andfacilitatestudent re-entry and retention efforts. The role requires a student-centered approach,strong communicationskills, organizational effectiveness, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to achieve student success and institutional goals.Responsible for executing proactive student outreach, intervention, retention, and re-engagement activities that support achievement of campus retention, persistence, and restart goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HybridProgramsSpecialistFunctions (60%)
  • Conduct and document remediation activitiesfor applicants who do not successfully complete the Online Competency Assessment
  • Conduct and manage delivery ofthe Online Student Success Course and Orientation to Online Learning
  • Maintain ongoing communication and documented engagementwith hybrid program students throughout their enrollment.
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress in online courses.
  • Initiate, conduct, and document intervention meetingswith students experiencing academic or attendance concerns. Including students who:
    • Are below passing for two consecutive weeks.
    • Havenot attended an online class for seven days or more.
  • Manage student support requests related to online coursework and learning resources and ensuretimelyresolution or referral.
  • Conduct intervention meetings with referred at-risk students and document action plans and outcomes.
  • Provide first-level support for common LMS access, login, navigation, and course participation issues and elevate unresolved issues to theappropriate technicalsupport resource.
  • Coordinate referrals to campus resources andmonitorcompletion of identified student support actions.
  • Execute mid-module, mid-term, and retention intervention strategies for studentsdemonstratingacademic risk.
  • Review and document student interactions, concerns, and interventions inCampusVueor other student information systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional student success initiatives with faculty, staff, and host institution representatives.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Student SuccessSpecialistFunctions (30%)
  • Serve as the campus coordinator for student restart and re-engagement initiatives.
  • Manage campus restart and student re-engagement initiatives and associated student outreach activities.
  • Explain restart options, answer student questions, and guide students through the re-entry process.
  • Guide students through completion of required restart documentation and administrative requirements.
  • Manage interdepartmental communication and scheduling necessary to support student re-entry and persistence.
  • Maintainaccurateand confidential student records and contact information inCampusVueand related systems.
  • Monitor, document, and manage follow-up activities forrestartstudents through successful re-entry.
  • Execute retention and re-engagement programs designed to support high-risk and
  • returning students.
  • Prepare and distribute restart reports, communications, and supporting materials as requested.
  • Plan, coordinate, andparticipatein orientations, information sessions, student engagement activities, and campus recruiting events.
  • Identifyand communicate barriersimpactingstudent retention, persistence, and restart outcomes.
  • Execute outreach, intervention, and re-engagement activities that supportachievementof campus retention, persistence, restart, and student success goals.
  • Coordinate communication between students and campus personnel to remove barriers and support successful student outcomes.
Other Duties as Assigned (10%)
  • Participate in institutional committees, meetings, and special projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute campus events, orientations, graduations, student engagement initiatives, and related social media activities.
  • Prepare,maintain, andsubmitrequired reports, data, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate assigned cross-functional projects and operational support activities with campus departments.
  • Complete professional development and training activities.
  • Performadditionalduties assigned by the Dean/Director of Education or campus leadership to support institutional operations and student success.
