Job summary

Kaplan International seeks a Student Services Coordinator to guide and support international students at KI NA. The role encompasses DSO responsibilities, SEVIS updates, admissions guidance, and housing coordination. You will help create an engaging, compliant environment for both short- and long-term students.

The position requires immigration status knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a dynamic campus setting. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (mandatory for DSO).
  • 1-2+ years in a business or operational setting.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Prior experience with international students and/or advising (preferred).
  • Experience with database systems (preferred).
  • One or more foreign language ability (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Designated School Official (DSO) responsible for updating SEVIS and advising students on immigration status.
  • Advise students on KI courses and products; collect lead information and participate in conversion efforts.
  • Support domestic marketing activities and community outreach events.
  • Plan and execute daily, weekly, monthly activities; create a monthly activities calendar.
  • Assist in housing options recruitment and student placement.
  • Interact with National Customer Service to follow policies on course adjustments and related forms.
  • Manage deposits, payments and cash handling; oversee internship recruitment and placement.
  • Provide university admissions guidance and counseling.
