*Downtown Campus refers to the Kansas City Kansas Community Education, Health and Wellness Center located in downtown Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, which was created to provide health, wellness, financial literacy, and education services.
Responsible for staffing the one‑stop student services area in the Downtown Campus while enhancing the delivery of prompt, professional, and courteous expertise. This work will include providing information on admissions, registration, financial aid, graduation, and other advising, while delivering exceptional customer service. This position will supplement the college’s recruitment and retention efforts to reach target populations that traditionally struggle in the post‑secondary environment. This individual may provide supportive encouragement through participation in structured activities, mentoring, campus programming, and leadership development while students are enrolled at KCKCC.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and sit. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift items.
40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
