Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.

• Proven ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to operate hand-held stop sign, flashlight, and two-way radio.
• Stamina to stand long periods; mobility to escort students and visitors.
• Work outdoors in all weather with exposure to traffic.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high degree of courtesy and respect for students, staff and the public.
• Interacts professionally at all times.
• Maintains neutrality in disputes and reports incidents to supervisors.
• Dresses in the required uniform and wears identification.
• Provides emergency procedures and assists during drills or evacuations.
• Escorts and directs students during emergencies and school activities.
• Monitors buses and crosswalks; assists with crowd control as needed.
• Notifies security or law enforcement during incidents or emergencies.
